After successfully completing delivery of the first batch of 5,000 units; Ringing Bell CEO Mohit Goel in a press meet on Monday, 1St August announced the company’s intention of Delivery Of 65,000 Units Of Freedom 251. The company which came up with its proposal of delivering smartphones to the countrymen at a price as low as Rs 251 during the end of February this year; was expected to start delivery by mid of May but failed in keeping its promise. Later Goel apologized to the customers for shifting the date to 6th July stating the huge registration has been creating problem for the company to meet both the production and delivery numbers.

For those who are unaware of Freedom 251; it is smartphone announced by a Delhi Based company Ringing Bell. This 3G phone comes with a RAM of 1GB and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. You will be enjoying an internal memory of 8GB and an external memory expandable upto 32GB. Delivery to be done on lottery basis says CEO Goel
Freedom 251 within 3 days of its announcement and launch of the registration site bagged over 7 Crores of people expressing their interest for the set just before the payment gateway was crashed. CEO Mohit Goel in the press meet said that the company is all done with the manufacturing and is planning to start off with the delivery of the second lot. This time it will be 65,000 units being delivered by the end of this month in some of the major states of India. However the delivery will be made on the lottery basis like what was done previously and the payment will be collected on COD format i.e. Cash on Delivery.
